Sea views hold such compelling magic, and I am so grateful to be enjoying the luxury of the view from my mom's house, which spans half of False Bay. And I'm also delighted that I'm able to share some of the more photogenic ones with you too, like this glorious morning the other day. It's rare that I photograph the actual sun at sunrise; it's usually its reflected light, often in the opposite direction, that presents the most gratifying images, but this morning was really something special as the bright orb rolled up the slope of the mountain, highlighting the sea-haze and lightening the sky behind the clouds.
