I love anticipating the progression of sunrises, as they transition from the first faint hints of dawn through what I've come to call First Glow: that dark yet deeply intense colouring, which dulls to a greyness as the stage is set for Second Glow: the brighter, lighter colouring that pulls back slightly to neutral before the yellow of sunrise explodes into the scene, whitening into the blue...
