New Years Eve is still some days away, however the Summer Solstice has always been the point in my personal year where the nadir and apex meet.
I may be a bit biased, but still, to me it feels like a particularly special day, and I like to enjoy it partly with myself and partly with some special people in my life, out in nature—in the sun if there is, or fog, or rain—connecting with the earth and the elements, feeling into authenticity through the moulding and melding we all naturally create in harmonising in ourselves with others, freeing my "wingarms" and attuning myself to my Self...
I have always thought of these leaf buds as angel wingarms, welcomingly receptive and accepting of light, life, love...
May you, too, enjoy a life-, light- and love-filled solstice—summer or winter, sunshine or rainhaze...

In a day filled with soul-gifts and messages that made my heart glow and my eyes create raindrops, this view of the solstice dawn over the Tsitsikamma mountains was the first treasure I welcomed.
After enjoying it with a cup of tea I wandered into the forest to catch the sun rising through the leaves of some of my favourite trees. I am so grateful that I am able to experience all of this in my life right now, and I try to be now as much as I can... every time I remember! (And the rememberries are ripening faster and more prolifically the more I practice!)
Here's a very short and amateur video clip if you'd like to share a teeny bit of the forest feel.
